Default Thinking about signing up with Host Gator.

Hello,

Right now I'm with a a host that provides "unlimited" though at the start you get 10 gig space and 100 gig transfer (they will provide more if needed).

I paid $96 ($2/mo) for this service.

I'm thinking of getting Host Gator at $10 per mo. Baby plan

I was just wondering what the difference could be, besides support.

I want to create mainly personal websites and 1 business website (to inform).

Since no host can really offer unlimited disk space and bandwidth, how limited am I with the baby plan?

From what I understand is we have 250,000 inodes available. So 1,000 of those inodes could be files of 100mb ea? 1gig ea?

Also, in the ToS it doesn't really specify much on the bandwidth. What is it usually for the Baby Plan

You can read more about Inodes here: http://support.hostgator.com/article...e-usage-limits

You can use as much Bandwidth as your website(s) requires, provided that your account don't exceeds allotted CPU Usage and RAM. It's Unlimited

A shared hosting account should server you for few few thousand unique visitors per day. If you have more traffic, you wil be using more CPU and will be asked to upgrade to a VPS or something.

Dont pay much attention to the unlimited part. Most websites should not need more than few GB space and the catch is really in the traffic and CPU usage.

Hostgator has better uptime and support than most hosts, these should be the reasons for moving here.
