hello everyone, I just have a few questions about the reseller program.
I'm coming over from reseller panel, so things may be a little different. 1. Is support for my customers provided by me, or HostGator? (phone calls, chats etc) 2. Is billing handled by me or Host Gator. I think I read I keep all profits from sales, but I don't know if the order verification are provided by HostGator or myself. 3. Can I offer free hosting? As long as I pay HostGator $24/ I can charge what ever I want correct? |

You would provide support for your clients. If there is an issue you cannot handle then you would submit a ticket to the Help Desk for technical support. You also handle the billing and can charge whatever you want to charge.

Kind of nervous of being in charge of payments. With (fraud problems and so on). Other questions I have Is there a sales quota I have to meet? To keep my account activated? Is the 24/ month a flat fee? Meaning if I or a few of my customers go over the 50GB total limit or other limits will I be charged addition fees? Or is it guarded so I cant go over? |

There is no quota in regards to sales. You will not be able to exceed the quota set on the server. If you are getting close to the diskspace limit or something you would be able to upgrade though.

You may want to rethink free web hosting--there are many arguments against it, especially for new resellers:
Can i offer free web host to my clients?

My plan was to give free client just like 25-50mb to work with. and everything else was going to be paid. But after reading that topic lol I don't know. |

If you want to offer them free hosting, charge something like $14.95 for the domain. Enough to keep the scammers away.
