THIS IS IN REPONSE FOR WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE SAYING:

Yeah, I´ve also had trouble with answers on LIVE CHATS, but we should realise that HostGator is a BIIIIIG community, and we are not the only ones waiting for support.

Here´s a tip:

IF YOUR ISSUE ISN´T SO URGENT, USE E-MAIL INSTEAD OF LIVE CHAT; THERE YOU WILL FIND A MORE RELAXED ANSWER IN MINUTES. I´ve never had trouble with e-mail support.

We can´t say anything about HostGator, we´ve found a great company with MOST TIMES friendly support, but

I´D LIKE TO EXTEND MY WORDS TO ALL SUPPORT PEOPLE, WE DON´T LIKE THIS KIND OF ANSWERS; a message like "please wait, I´m focused on another problem now" would be better than just leaving us alone in the chats.

One thing I'd like to add...

When I send in a support ticket about something being down, it really *is* down at the time. I have had a few times where I've gotten a reply hours later saying the server is fine, no problems and it feels curt. I understand that it isn't anymore, but it was! I feel like an idiot. Perhaps a rephrase of, "seems to be just fine now," or some acknowledgemt of the fact that it was down...



Support here isn't the best... although it's pretty great at the boards! (Thanks Justin!) I think there's just some roughness around the edges.

Other then that, I LOVE HOST GATOR!

We have been having countless problems with phplive. This might not be related but 98% of the complaints I hear about chat are in reguards to phplive. We are in the process of switching to css which will improve this type of chat 100 fold. Other then this chat was beyond flooded today from the problem jeep was having.
We do our best but when there's a major problem such as jeep had we our overwhelmed. I was doing phone calls today and the same people would call ever minute for updates. I spoke to one guy 4 times alone. We missed about 60% of the calls+ calling about jeep. When theres a problem on a reseller server every reseller calls or contacts us every few minutes until the problem is resolved. Luckily major issues such as jeep had today are rare. I know how down time is frustrating for everyone and if I was in your place I'd be asking for secondly updates.

Chat support is good for questions but if you ever have a problem ticket support is the way to go. We can then assign the ticket to correct person and get things resolved quicker. Thanks for the honest review!
