There's no button for me to click 'chat' in live chat support???

Am I missing out something?? There is no button for me to submit my question??

You might try using a different browser. I have a Start Chat button below the text box for the question. I would also suggest opening a ticket rather than chat for the question you are asking. I would suspect an admin will need to have a look at the account to see why it is not working so I would open a ticket with details so they can look.

With Firefox, there's no "Start Chat" button when you first see the screen. Oddly, if I just refresh with an F5, the "Start Chat" button magically appears (along with the Gator himself). Works OK in IE9 and Chrome16 on the first shot.

I find it remarkable, and not a little appalling, that a simple chat screen doesn't work properly in Firefox. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Using the latest version of Firefox and everything is fine at my end

FF 9.0.1 on Win7/64.

The results are inconsistent. I just tried it again, and got a proper chat session on the first shot. Closed it, hit "start live chat" again, and this time, got the incomplete window - screenshot attached.

Edit: Poking around with Firebug, I can't figure out what's missing. The "Net" panel doesn't show any files that aren't loading (image files, CSS, scripts, whatever). The button container is there - it's simply empty, and unclickable. Very odd....

In Firebug, appearance.css is coughing up this:

#snappy_in_water, #snappy_water_ripples, #start_chat_water_ripples, #start_chat_submit_button {
display: none;
}

Disabling display: none; makes the Start Chat button appear, along with Snappy, though he ends up standing on the upper left corner, rather than to the right of the chat dialog.

According to the comment in the CSS, these elements are positioned by the Javascript, so that's where the problem is. That's also the point at which my debugging skills pretty much vanish, however.

Edit: Maybe a hint. The Firebug console is indicating an error in main.js:

gatorchat.startChatForm is undefined
[Break On This Error]

gatorchat.startChatForm.init();

That error doesn't show when the live chat form displays properly - I see it only when it's loused up, and missing its button.

Talking about something else, I was looking on your website and I am just jealous how many places you have seen...It is really nice, I wasn't so lucky to see so many places. I didn't have the time or the money...Reading Dostoievski, Pushkin was free for me, and of course study math, history, music...
