If your server has been going up and down tonight for the last few hours you are in the houston datacenter, and are being hit with the below issue:

"The CAR2-4 router is currently experiencing issues that are causing
the customers routed through that router to be down. Engineers are
working on the problem and the issues should be resolved shortly.

We will keep you updated on any more information releases, and after
the issues are over, we will send out a total downtime calculation."

Seeing as we are talking about that server, is it a bad thing that every time i check cpu load its around 2.

so, whats the policy on the 99.9% uptime guarantee? im on a reseller plan..

99.9 would mean they could go down for around 8hours per year.

Being a router issue ... would this be why I had a client yesterday who is own BellSouth say he could not get to his site ... yet I could see it via Comcast, AOL, and a local ISP?

Or would this have been a BellSouth issue? He could connect to other sites ... just not the one I host (his).

hiya guys i dont know if my issue has anything to do with this the ips are simular so it maybe im from the UK but i rent webspace with Hostgator anyway i can access my site but email sending and uploading files via the ftp are out is this the same issue (ip:69.93.86.2)

Reported this problem by phone at 8 am eastern -no Front Page or FTP...spent some hours on this end to resolve but all OK here....we have determined it is hostgastor!!

We have investigated this further, and it seems people everywhere are having the problem with us, other hosts , everywhere.

We believe it's related to the above posting when the servers were up / down. We suspect they have modified their routers and a few people are being blocked from uploading to the network.

We have contacted them and will not stop till they have it resolved. It's very isolated to just a few people. Anyone having this problem please post in here your servers ip address. For those who have posted we will be needing your help to let us know when they have it fixed since you are the few affected. So if at any time it stats working again post, if it stops working again post.

Contacted the datacenter they need tracert's from everyone having this problem. Please click start > run > type in command hit enter > type ..

tracert yourdomanme.com

Wait for that to finish then copy the whole thing and paste it in here. Thanks!

gained FTP access again at 5-6pm.

will alert if problem re-occurs
