Default Theplanet network issue

A few minutes ago we began getting flooded with people saying their sites are slow. It seems parts of the Internet are having some connection issues reaching theplanet. This has nothing to do with us or our servers having problems but the actual network. Everyone is not affected but if you're one of the few that are, this is why.

When I spoke with the datacenter asking for details, they said it was some type of DOS and should be resolved in a few minutes. the second we have any more information, I will update this thread.

Seems to be most everybody from what i'm seeing, I tried traceroute to my servers box through Stanford University, Univeristy Of Southern California, San Diego Super Computing, and all had extrememly high pings and sometimes timeouts.

I would say this is a global network problem for The Planet.

if that's the globe, where do those billions not in those couple of states live? In the UK I had no problem.

yesterdays network issues was a problem with abovenet being attacked. today there are some problems going on with ATT both seem to be unrelated with the datacenter directly.

I am in New Zealand and had the same issues 2 weeks ago. Don't tell me its set to happen again. If so, we will be going into lossmaking as customers set their sites somewhere else.
