I was very pleasantly surprised to see a postcard from HG offering a credit for Google Adwords today.

You know, I have long felt that dedi owners are kind of like the "red-headed stepchildren" of HG. Y'all offer lots of bonuses to your shared customers, some to resellers, but many are difficult to access for us dedi folks.

I loved the Green program, but of course, dedis aren't included in the calculations (and I could never find out what the calculations were, in case I'd wanted to use the figures to see about purchasing my own certificates so I could be greener, too).

The free templates are great, except I haven't been able to find out if they are all the TM templates or a subset, and thus have no real way to add them to my own offerings or client cPanels.

The HG customized cPanel is very cool. But of course, I can't offer any of the features to my folks unless I can figure out how to script it myself. Not gonna happen anytime in the immediate future.

So when I saw HG was offering customers a $25/adwords credit, I honestly thought to myself, "Here's another example of how folks paying less than $5 a month are getting another HG bonus that I won't have access to. Whooptie do."

It was nice to be wrong. You know, it's a small gesture, but I do appreciate it. So thank you.

I'm guessing the "postcard" to which Dix refers came via postal delivery.

Yeah, especially given the other thread about communication, getting a reality-based piece of paper from HG could be startling.
