Hello,
The gift of a grateful heart is a dwindling sign of our times and is certainly not a quality I possess. I gripe when things do not go well; but I do not commend in equal measure when things are set right. Even so, I must take time out to appreciate the great service and support I received from Hostgator when I recently signed up with them. After my interaction with them on Day 1, I came away with the feeling that there must be something right with this bunch of really motivated folks; because I received not just prompt and courteous service -- but also satisfactory resolution -- from everybody -- which was Sales, Service and Billing. What a refreshing feeling! A special mention about the HostGator Support Service. I would not normally single out one person to crow about -- since it is the entire team that makes or breaks the quality of the Support service; but I received such outstanding dedication and support from Jesse Shanks that I must give honor where honor is due and commend him personally. Jesse not only knows his stuff very well (and that's often so rare -- and such a joy -- when you need tech support); but I also found him enthusiastic, motivated, courteous and ready to work with my concerns. In short -- he was ready, willing and able -- a rather difficult combination to find! Jesse transferred my site over from my earlier host in a matter of hours when time was a critical factor -- and he did such a superb job of it -- diligently checking the links, realigning the databases etc. and making sure my site was up and running. He then went beyond my expectations and worked with me through an issue I was trying to troubleshoot. Sweet! Jesse, I think you are a wonderful asset to HostGator and I sincerely Thank You for the awesome job you did in supporting me. Going forward, I trust I can look forward to the same service from you and the entire HostGator Support team. The terms Customer Service and Quality Service have been bandied about so long that they have now become just "noise" words. But the Customer Service I received from HostGator brought Service alive for me all over again. Perhaps cyberspace makes it more difficult to empathize with Customers needs - something that bothers me in Canada when I shop around for services from USA. All the more reason why I thought it was important for me to commend this Excellence in Service Quality -- such a welcome rarity -- that I experienced at HostGator. I am writing this so that all of you at HostGator will know that your efforts are appreciated -- and also to remind you that when you go that extra mile to deliver to your customers; you take us beyond Customer Satisfaction to Customer Delight. And isn't that the raison d'etre for any Service Company? Thank you and keep up the passion and pride with which you deliver! Unnita |

Hello,
When I first posted this message, I noticed some not-so-satisfied negative customer comments in the forum. Three comments re those -- one -- I read through a couple of them and see the Gator staff responding to these -- which I think is a good thing; two -- I applaud HostGator for permitting negative posts, so that the forum stays real and credible; and three -- I hope the Gator staff resolves these issues speedily so that all Customers experience a happy ending like I did. artisan |
