Positive TG for Hostgator

I moved to HostGator last year when my old provider started having severe problems. It was a small business that seemed to be family run. I was sorry to leave them. They were small and resorted to "overselling" to attract customers which led to major problems.

They recently charged my credit card for an annual fee based on an account I had with them which had been closed for over six months. I had to jump through a number of hoops to get the fee removed from my charge card. The old host company never responded to any contact. I tried their home page and it is now showing that they are bankrupt.

The service and support here at HG has been excellent. The inevitable downtime and "gremlins" has been minimal and fixed as soon as humanly possible. The server load is conservative. The fact that they do not oversell was a major factor when I chose this company.

Thanks, Jeff
