Hi guys
Went I was in TX a few months back my friend had a problem with email (cough) after testing her computer and checking all settings I informed her best to speak to the ISP tech support. Now you guys in the swamps will love this one... After 40 min on the phone trying to get a Tech Support somewhere in Asia to understand Texan and how to understand basic words like my email does not connect with your servers.... The result was tech support informing her to reformat her computer ...and put phone down on her....Then 5 min later got email saying we are glad we managed to resolve the problem today... Hey Gatorhost whatever you do never contract to Asia

Generalise much?
Incidentally, you don't have to leave the country to find people who don't understand Texan. Just cross the state's border. |

What you mean
Quote:
Have you ever visited California? Talk about being in a foreign country? I understand "Texan" better than some other parts of the country. Granted some Spanish is spoken here, but where is it not? I have a new policy, if I get a call or have to call for support for anything, I ask where there at, if the say India, I just say sorry, but I don't know anyone in India, and do not want to talk to you. "Click". There are other ways to get someone in support if you search the web on how to bypass this. Just depends if you want to spend the time doing it? BTW, the Click sound is also used for automated in-coming calls or blocked calls. If everyone would do this, it will come to a stop. Don't you just love the way you have to play like a "touch pad commando" trying to get someone in a corporation or business? I'm not going there, Grrrrrrr. |

Shoot, you simply have to know Spanish around here in FL. Parts of miami there's no English signs. =O

I got a good one for you.
About 2 years ago we upgraded our dish network sat. system to the latest Sat. receiver. It came UPS, opened it up, started to pull all the goodies out, first thing I grabbed was the Instruction manual. Everything, including the boxes was in Spanish. Not one English word anywhere except the UPS label. I called Dish and asked what's with this? They said Oh, sorry, we assumed that because we where in Texas, every one spoke and read Spanish.
