HG is aware of the problem and is working on it. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly and I am sure someone will stop by the forum to update the status.

I get the dots too at the upper left corner of my screen. When i load my site something downloaded and attacked my computer. It happened last night and tonight almost at the same time. I tried to change my dns so my site will be down till this is fixed and that wont even work. I do a whois lookup for the dns and it shows my parking dns and not my dns with hostgator. For some reason when i load my site i still see the site with hostgator.
I want my site moved to another server asap! I am loosing alot of money right now and this isnt fare. Last edited by a1nerd; 04-06-2005 at 06:26 AM. |

There is nothing wrong with the sites themselves. The problem is when resolving the site, it sometimes gets redirected to another server that has a virus.

This isnt good at all. Its ok if a service is down or something but for client sites to be installing viruses on peoples system thats just F*C#$% up.

What is the eta to get this fixed? You fixed it yesterday farily quickly and I was reasured
""Hello, We have fixed the issue. Now you will not face any such issue again. Please refer following URL for more info on issue. http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?p=12583&posted=1#post12583 If you have any more problems or questions please let us know."" And the next day the same issue? How do we explain this to our customers? Can't you make the fix and reasearch on why it is happening after the fact? Cant you stop http services so people dont have malicious virus's installed on their computers? Last edited by depmediahosting; 04-06-2005 at 07:27 AM. |

As far as I can tell, resolving is part of the service. The fact is that regardless of the sites' integrity, the end user's are being compromised due to an issue with the resolving IP. This puts every reseller you have on the spot...and we are now facing questions as to OUR integrity. |
