Hi All,
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times - but I searched on here and couldn't find the answer. I've just signed up with hostgator and have moved over all my dbs and files, but haven't yet changed the DNS's to point to hostgator. What I need to know before doing this are : 1 - I use Mozilla Thunderbird for email - when I switch over the DNS's will all the email I have saved on my old mail server be lost ? Or if it's saved in Mozilla will it upload it to my mail on hostgator ? 2. Do I have to tell my old host to cancel anything ? thanx in advance! |

If your email has been downloaded from the old server and stored in your email program, then it will not be lost. Hope this helps.
