Swapping to H/Gator

I am already with a hosting company that use cPanel & when i signed up with this company they mailed me a temp setup url, So i could transfer my host over from my old host & test everything out & make sure it was 100% before i changed the name servers over

will i also get the option to do this with H/Gator... ????

Plus is there any min contract with H/Gator or is based on a monthly contract

You are able to view your website before name servers are switched over at

http://yourIP/~user/

You have the option to pay monthly or you can pay yearly if you wish.
