swamp plan/templates

If I sign up for the swamp plan can I create as many websites for both personal use and to sell using any of the great templates that are available from hostgator.

You are not allowed to sell hosting on a shared plan. You can on the reseller or dedicated plans though.

I see. The thing is I want to build and sell websites using the hosgator templates. I dont want to people access to cpanel as my service will be a fully managed solution. So if I join the HG reseller plan could I just create one account for myself then host all the websites I plan to sell under that one account

Although most people these days prefer unmanaged solutions for shared environments with a hosting panel.

Yes I understand that but there are also many business people who are not computer literate and wouldn’t know html from a garden spade so to speak. These are the people I want to cater for offering them a fully managed service at a great price without the headaches of managing a website themselves.

If you are charging them for the space, then you have to go with the reseller or dedicated plan.

If you are just hosting the site for them ie not charging -- like family or friends, then shared is fine.
