I was interested in moving to a swamp package, but I had some questions as far as usage, etc.
1) I currently run an adult website with 2 wordpress blogs (using a single db) (I am somewhat interested in running a 2nd WP db with one or two more blogs attached to it as well at some point) 2) I run Arrow Trader III lite (with NO skimming, just for traffic trading and referral listing) Is this package viable for this type of set up? Also, I read that it would be possible to have my current site moved over by somebody from HG. Is there a fee associated with this? |

if you're coming from another cpanel server, they should be able to do the transfer for you. and it's much easier than doing it yourself.
you might have to update the configuraion on your wordpress to properly identify your blog database connection info, and you may have to go into your cpanel, set up the database user, and attach it to the database you use for blogs in the "mysql" options manually. everything else is pretty automatic.

That makes sense.
I don' think my current host is cpanel though. I am comfortable enough with Wordpress to make config changes for the new db and stuff. |

the most common mistake i see when people are doing this is adding the proper user to the database in your hg cpanel. they sometimes forget it appends the database name and db user names with your account name, so if your account username was zivatem, the db name would be zivatem_wordpress1 or whatever, and if you made username called "dbuser", the username would be zivatem_dbuser.

I believe they should make this clear to you, because I would had prefered to sign up using the name of the site then my own name.

Second, (to clarify what Dix was saying) the account name that's usually created is a truncation of the "main" domain you signed up with.
