Still can't FTP into my accounts.
I use the IP (eg: 67.18.2.230, or 67.18.2.226) and it doesn't accept my usernames and passwords. |

Customer has dedicated IP site, and it is visable via web browser but not via email nor does it show up in WHM. Their username is grafted upon another account.

Hi,
Some issues I've encountered so far ... 1. Unable to update contact information on each accounts. 2. Webmail not functioning on some accounts (except NeoMail) 3. URL Redirection limit exceeded 4. failed permission to delete invalid forwarding emails I think more issues will be spotted soon. Thanks for the updates! Cheers! |

Interesting problem. I can't access the admin page for a mailing list whose name contains a dash. No problems with any other mailing lists (no other mailing lists have dashes in their names).

Those users still have not been added to my WHM.
You said it would be done in 3 hours, so I'm just worried you might have missed these ones. Again, users "eastland" and "poolboy" should be listed under my WHM. Also, user "blakrose" should be listed under me too, but you can delete that account. Please confirm when these 3 items are complete. Thank you!!

Not sure if this is the place to post this or not, but all my sites are down again.
I can not access them by way of the web, cpanel, whm, anything. No login prompt, no nothing. Everything just goes to a blank page like it don't even exist. It worked somewhat yesterday afternoon. Time/date: 8:00 am Pacific/West Coast Time Wednesday January 5, 2005 I should point out that on one of my home computers I can access my sites somewhat, and on another home computer with a different ip nothing don't know what is up with that or why that would be. At the risk of duplicating - I wanted to share the observation that most of the lingering problems on the "surviving" accounts and some newly created ones seem to be related to permissions.
Hopefully a status report is forthcoming... |

Are FTP issues resolved?
Are send and receive issues resolved? We are still working on getting the missing domains back to the correct reseller account. There are 130 of them to be exact and it looks like we are having to do them all manually. Please do not tell us which ones if you tell us we will make you last =) we are going straight down a list that we already have in no specific order. What would everyone say is the next most important issue we need to fix?

I can't log into any mailman mailing lists. I see the login page for them (with the exception of the one I posted above), but then receive an error when I try to log in.
[I take this back, I can log in now - but it is being flaky] Also, I can't get into WHM again, by my domain name or the IP. Last edited by liquid; 01-05-2005 at 07:10 PM. |

Since many of us rely on the size of our accounts being correct, I would say that restoring proper account size would be next.
The server has been a bit flaky (occasional "connection refused" on random domains), but everything's certainly working better than it was 48 hours ago. Keep up the good work, Brent.

I have tried to stay out as much as possible until the accounts are updated.
I only made one change (reset password on one account) to FTP their files. Because of this, I am not in a position to say what is next as I am not sure what is or is not working. eMail and mySQL are important to me, but I am not sure what is working or not right now. Thank you for the status update. Waiting patiently. Thanks Brent and all the gators. |

I have FTP and Cpanel access to all my accounts (three I re-built, survivors needed much resetting). But FTP access on the surviving accounts is limited to /public_html and below. FTP says "sorry, we can't read [.]".
Cpanel file manager shows empty, even though the sites are working - with the following error under the trash can: Quote:
Somehow this all seems related. I suppose my biggest concern is that under these circumstances I can't generate or access Cpanel backups of my sites. Just a little healthy paranoia. But the bottom line is, my customers think everything's fine! Brent, I know we'll get through this with your help. |

Also having a problem with fopen wrappers in PHP. Here's the description from their site. Should be self explanatory.

I'm having some serious email issues like everyone else.
1) None of my PHP scripts are able to send mail anymore... including WHM Autopilot... as if there is something wrong with whatever sendmail or SMTP they use... 2) Email over all is slow. It's taking forever for things to come through on my POP accounts.

The only time when things are off-line is when we take them down to fix more issues we find. At the moment Apache is down so that we may fix tons of permission errors this should fix FTP problem and file manager problem. I believe.

I believe all FTP issues are fixed as well as file manager.
The 130 accounts that were missing should all have appeared. They are still missing package names. We are working on this as well as a global fix so previously added packages show up again when you go to create account without the trick, someone posted in here. It really is amazing what we are getting done with what we have available. That wasn't corrupted. It is kind of like we have the information for the most part, spread out between four different files. Each file having different amount of corruption and we pull the working data to rebuild the corrupted data. This is way off but kind of a nutshell on what is being done. Here is one of the formulas that we know how to fix one at a time but would take forever so are working on a global fix. the packages are all in /var/cpanel/packages/ the file that needs to be edited is /var/cpanel/reseller-resource-accounts The reseller packages need to be added in this format ztechpc:ztech_Gold,ztech_Package 2,ztech_Package 3,ztechpc_Package1, username ackage1,package2,package3ztech being a user.

One of my clients is unable to connect with FrontPage ... FTP and file manager work fine but I don't use FrontPage to try and duplicate the problem.
This is the error message she received in Front Page when she attempted to update (unsuccessfully): "Server error: The page home html has been modified by bunnysin on 21 Nov. 2004..." |

Brent,
Thank you for the update. I still have an issue where a user is associated with another account, their site account is missing. Was this something that should have been resolved or is this one of the things still being worked on? I am unable to log into their account using FTP. [This is the one that I did send you requested info last night.] Thanks again for your time and assistance. BTW, ever thought about going into computer forensics?

MY email.. whichw as working fine before now refuses to work. I cant send mail I get an smpt error, it keeps asking for my pass which should be fine. I go into cpane, change the pass, it says:
The e-mail account airkat@netkat.net was successfully modified. Sorry the account airkat already exists! I had planned to keep some accounts on HG, but if I cant get some kind of stability I think I'm going to have to move them all! |

The only problem I don't see posted is in WHM. Many of my accounts packages were reset to either only 1 MB or 5 MB in alloted size. One that was at 50 MB previously was reset to 500 MB. I was able to edit them and all is well apparently.
