Supra problems to report: Please do not post duplicate issues

This thread has been created to get a list of all the problems that we might not be aware of on supra that need to be fixed.

We know about the suspend / unsuspend issue.
We know about e-mail accounts, not being recorded when created.


Things we know about that cannot be fixed.
Data that was lost as a result of having to use the raid one drive that has content that is a month-old.

Passwords not working for resellers main accounts and cpanel user accounts. The fix for this is if you are a reseller and you cannot login please e-mail support@hostgator.com with the password you would like your username reset to. To fix your cpanel users. You must login to your whm and modify their password from there.

Please post any problems not mentioned above. Also, make sure not to post something fellow users of already posted. If we solve your problem please edit your post to say solved.

Pre-existing packages not showing up when creating a new account. They show up below the dialog listing 'current' and 'available', but are not in the select box to choose.

This one is probably very minor in the grand scheme of things, but an account I just set up shows Postgresql Databases as 1 / Unlimited when there shouldn't be any.

(Note: I deleted my other posts regarding the subaccounts not showing any files in the File Manager, as it seems to be now fixed on all my effected subaccounts. THANK YOU!)

i have reset the password for each accounts by whm, but when i log via ftp (i can log in) there aren't any files show.

I plan to move to another server. (Staying at hostgator of course)
But things you should know:

Autopilot doesn't work due to No Zend Optimiser.

My email sends but doesn't recieve. Error is (from yahoo mail trying to send to my account at hostgator) 550 error "host doen't like recipient"

Account creation date is unknown on my primary domain. No package is assigned to it either. Can't edit the primary account the use a different package. No packages in the list under change package for a domain. Packages are in the list for edit packages.

Someone already mentioned no fantastico.

contact email address string contains corrupt data instead of email address for some accounts.

I have a work-around for this if HG can't fix: Go into EDIT PACKAGES and edit each one. You shouldn't have to actually change or enter anything, just bring it up to edit, make like you're done editing, and save. This will make the packages availabe for choosing. This may also fix wierd quota settings.

I'd like to know, before reset package, if someone can touch a file on the server... you are speaking about whm configuration but someone have touch a db record on mysql? someone have succeed to update, restore or delete ONE file on whichever accounts?

I think the major problem now is this....

Here is the list of problems:

1) Cannot Login to FTP. When FTP is accessed, no files in directory. Directory is blank. FTP Manager displays "Can-not read" in log.

2) When logging in to cpanel, cpanel displays a not found page.

3) Directory on front page is showing on one site.

4) SQL Databases are all currupted.

5) Several sites have dissappeared completely both from whm & online.

6) Several sites are up, however, there is no record in whm.

7) SQL Problems prevent pages from being viewed.




On top of all that. The accounts in web host manager have inverted login names. For example: The original login name for xxxsite was "miami". Since the backup,it is now "something else". (something else was originally the password for another site) Others are messed up too.

In addition, 3 or 4 of my hosting packages have dissappeared.

Email recieves. It's just that the primary email address does not recieve.

I can't send from email, although I seem to be able to receive.

I have tried deleting and recreating an account. I've tried creating a new account. Neither was able to send; both were able to receive.

The email accounts for my main reseller account are not all there. For the main domain, myadpartners.com all of the email accounts are there and working fine. The missing email accounts use three addon domains (graphicedgeinc.com, myhomeexpress.com and guestcheques.com) 2 which are showing in the addon domain panel but are NOT listed as a selection (but their subdomain entry is) to create an email address on. I don't want to remove and re-add these domains in the chance these accounts might be hidden somehow and recoverable. One of the dozen or so pop accounts that's missing is dgorham@guestcheques.com

Denoha - I have a set of the same type of messages, and I had one of my servers still not showing files. But, after a few minutes the files showed up. So, it may be that you need to give it a few minutes. Of course, it could also be that someone did something after the ticket was sent back.

I think it's because of all the missing stuff. Try FTPing straight into the home directory - like this: yourdomain.com/public_html

Everything should show up.

I tried that (the /public_html/ workaround) before they fixed it and I got a permission error. So, it (the ftp server) admitted the directory was there but wouldn't let me in.

Here are my problems:

1) Unable to create email forwarders on the domain trinity31.net
I can create them for the addon domains, but not for the above domain.
It confirms that they were created, but then they don't show up in the list, nor do they appear to actually work.

2) One of my customer sites, eastland.ca, username eastland, appears to be functional, however it does not show up in my WHM as one of my clients. If you could add them back to my reseller list that'd be great.

3) One of my SQL databases needs to be repaired. It's not working properly. It is on domain trinity31.net, and is database trinity_vacphp

4) One of my clients, http://www.virtualgroundschool.com/, is having SQL/PHP problems. You will see the errors on his main page.

5) My client, http://www.virtualgroundschool.com, username anorth, can not see any files in his file manager or FTP. They obviously exist since his site still comes up... they just don't show up in FTP.

I have a couple sites that were seemingly untouched except for the passwords not working. When I reset a passwords I can access the site via FTP but all the stuff "above" public_html is either gone or hidden.

Is it possible that resetting the PW is making some things (like email folders) permanently inaccessible? If so, could someone with root access "grab" that stuff?

I do understand that what's gone is gone, but if there's a sliver of hope to save some emails it sure would help.

I just notice that there is another customer that is not showing up in my WHM. Their domain is rippedcanadians.ca /.com and their username is poolboy. Their site appears to be working fine. So if you could just add them back to my reseller list that would be great!!! Thanks

I am having the same trouble with eaglemw.com in my WHM as well.

We have fixed the suspend unsuspend problem. We are aware of the domains missing from your whm's but working. This affects about 10% of the server we should have this fixed next and shouldn't take that long. ( 3 hours guessing)

I'm quoting my original post for reference to this update on my problem.
I went ahead and tried to remove one of my add-on domains. After a long wait I got the response:
"Addon Domain Removal Syncing Ftp Databases....Done Sorry, you do not control the domain graphicedgeinc.com! Sorry, the subdomain graphicedgeinc cannot be removed because it is linked to the addon domain graphicedgeinc.com. You must first remove the addon domain."

I also wanted to clarify, the 3rd domain missing pop accounts (myhomeexpress.com) is a parked domain not an add-on like the others.
