Exclamation Re: supra 1/2/05 major outage

Guys I've been with a lot of hosts and I don't think you'll find anyone better than host gator!

However, I too was a bit disapointed in the email I got back from support.
I emailed them specific issues that remain on my account so that they can be fixed, however they told me the exact same thing as the other guy, "check the forums". They should have simply forwarded the email to Brent or Lyron.

So, I will post my problems here then if that's what they want:

) My domain name, trinity31.net, is not resolving. It should resolve to the following website: http://67.18.2.226/~trinity/ (It looks like the DNS Zone file is corrupt)

2) The following domain, eastland.ca, is resolving, but is not listed in my WHM account list. The user here is http://67.18.2.226/~eastland/ Please add it back to my reseller list.

3) The following domain, digitalmisanthrope.ca, is not resolving, and is not listed in my WHM account. The user here is http://67.18.2.226/~blakrose/ (In Nov, the domain was actually listed as blakrose.net so you may see it as that on the backup, if so, please change it to the new one as listed above)

4) There seems to be a problem with either PHP or MySQL. The following page should be a message board, however this is what comes up: http://www.vacanada.org/forums/index.php
Please fix!

Thanks for your time! Please let me know about each of these.

It's probably true however, that the more emails we all send them, the more it will slow them down! We should just let them do what they need to do, and not distract them with emails and phone calls, at least for a while. That'll probably get us up faster!

Angry Re: supra 1/2/05 major outage

They are still working on the server and our master password that was working earlier today is now no good. Here is what sales tells us:

Thank You.

Unfortunately the server is currently being worked on and I cannot access it at this time, I will have to do this later in the day.

Some of the posts are totally funny on here and I am not talking about the ones from HostGator.

One of the hosts that has been suggested has had an outage since last Saturday as well and even has disabled their forum. Special huh?

Someone at HG was working since Brent got some (well needed) sleep as
my passwords were reset.

Well, I am off to checking out all of the accounts and backing up what is left.

Still nothing from support regarding my WHM password. I am seriously at the end of my rope here.

Are people getting replies from support? Are their passwords being reset? What did you do to get their attention?

No. My cries for help are being totally ignored or are going unheard.

Nothing has changed all day long (it's coming up to 6pm here): no FTP access, no password access to customer Cpanels, our main site still corrupt ('Internal Server Error') when viewed via IP, etc, etc.

I just got my new password. I'm in WHM now, surveying the damage. Hopefully I'll be able to get into cPanel as well. Unfortunately, I can't do this using root access as I need to get into phpmyadmin.

I posted the note from Tim and then I sent him another nasty note telling him others are getting their passwords and he has not replied. I STILL DID NOT GET MY PASSWORD!!

Well, I'm in. Wow what a mess. First step: Edit all the packages so they "exist". Then re-set all the contact emails. So far I've had no luck re-setting passwords, which I must do to get clients emails working again.

All mine transferred instantaneously when i put in the domain transfers. Must have hit the update at the right time. Now I just need to get into WHM and find out what email address' I need to recreate.

http://67.18.2.226:2086/frontend/x/mail/pops.html

The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/x/mail/pops.html) you requested
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report
this error to your webhost.

Wow, 4 days down is a lot of time for most of my customers, what could a refund be good for if I no longer have people to pay me... would it be so crazy to move all our accounts to new servers? I know itīs a lot of work for you but considering you've had us down for 4 days, thatīs the least you can do for us. And please, tell your support people that ignoring customers is the most ridiculous thing they can do. Is it so hard to say "yes, we still have problems" instead of saying "one moment please"? I don't think you really don't know it's still down.

I can't do anything in my WHM account. CPANEL dosen't come up at all. Over 48 hours of down time. That's it. I'm done. I've been doing a bunch of research and think I've found a decent alternative provider. PM me if you're interested.

Well, it started out a better day. I'm hoping my sites are down again because the widespread issues are still being actively addressed.

Websites are all down.

I am able to access my WHM and was able to make password changes to my subaccounts, as well as quota changes.

I am able to access CPanel, but it is Extremely Slow.

Email was working earlier, now appears to be down as well.

On WHM, I am seeing postgresql - failed

An official update on the boards would be appreciated at this time. Thank you.

Can we have an update please.

It's getting very frustrating.

I was patient the first 2 days, but on the 3rd day, I'm losing it a bit...
