I called support this morning because I couldn't login Cpanel. The guy I talked to reset my password but I had some rookie questions I tried to ask him. He was very short with me and seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with my trivial (to him) question. A big thumbs down!
Later this morning, I used the "Live Chat" and the difference was Daylight & Dark. The person I chatted with was extremely nice and addressed my questions with non-technical answers. Asked if I understood and if there was anything else they could help me with. A big thumbs up! Conclusion: If the only support HG had was phone support and everyone was as pompous as the person I talked too, I would take my little business elsewhere. I'm sorry to hear about your negative phone experience. Do you recall who you spoke to on the phones? And who you spoke to on chat? I'd like to talk to thank the chat person and work with the phone person. If you could PM their names to me, that would be great. Thanks and once again, my apologies for the inconveniences.

I have phoned Hostgator a few times and on each call was not impressed. The person(s) on the other end sounded like a drone, not interested and hardly inspiring - if frustrating to get any answers.
I do prefer wholeheartedly email or live support. The cost of an unwelcoming international call will not have me phoning Hostgator again if I can really help it... ![]() Ted. |
