Default Support Forum Where?

I have an idea - how about a online support forum that actually provides online support.

1. None of the categories listed here provide a forum or answers to any technical questions whatsoever.

2. The FAQ section is thinner than Calista Flockhart.

3. Most of the help URL's listed on your website give a 404 error.

I guess we have to open a ticket for every little thing. Not a very good first impression you have made.

Only current customers who have been approved see the support forms.

As for the 404's, I'm sure HG would be glad to respond to a ticket about them.

The 404s are a recent problem. It looks like they were making updates. I know some of the stuff was moved around and that may be the cause of the problems.

The support forum has just about every answer you will ever need, once you get access to it. I never found the knowledge base to be very useful.

Yeah I noticed that the first time I went to get some support. The knowledge base is really lacking.

lol. Waiting patiently for approval to the support forums. I've got a lot of issues with scripts. Only thing that seems to work is php and javascript and I know tech has to be getting sick of seeing my name.

I agree with pretty much everything in your post Mike. Those chat support representatives must deal with a lot of crap from clients yelling at them. I also must add that I love this peer support forum and I seem to find most of my answers here quicker than opening a trouble ticket.

Ho Forum.

Agreed esl, this forum is one of the best I have been on.

It is even funny sometimes, and it is good when you can mix a laugh with your sorrows.

With people like esl and sera here, it is like a freaking encyclopedia.

By the way, I am starting to actually believe that Sera IS a piece of software/bot.

Good people on forum and the support? Wow, I wish the rest of the world were so good, I get a very fine response time to all problems.

But it ain't always easy, sometimes one must be patient, yes?

Cheers

I can't find the damned ANY key either.

Maybe it's the button next to the 3.25 inch floppy drive, like I hate how I have to fold my old 5.5 inch disk in half before I put them in. They never bloody work anyway.

My PC is pretty old now you see, it still has floppy drives.

On mine they are just under the slide-out coffee cup holder. You know, the one with 52X written on the front?

You folks are amusing.

Joe,

As far as your issues go:

Quote:
1. None of the categories listed here provide a forum or answers to any technical questions whatsoever.
If your account still can't see the support sections try contacting sales@hostgator.com with your forum username. They'll resolve it immediately.

Quote:
2. The FAQ section is thinner than Calista Flockhart.
We're always doing our best to ensure our site is thorough: If you have any recommendations or things you're still 'unclear' on let us know and we'll see if we can get some more related FAQ entries made up.

Note: Last I heard Calista went on a diet, so I think she wins out on thinner this time around.

Quote:
3. Most of the help URL's listed on your website give a 404 error.
Any specific ones you have in mind/are able to see?

Thank you for your time!

Here is a suggestion, how about making all of the forum stickies enteries in the knowledge base?

I've never actually seen ANYTHING in the knowledge base, are there any entries in it at all?

Lack of a knowledge base is why I started looking in the forum.
