We are forced to run a file system check on this server for /home. The server will be offline until this is complete. We will keep this updated on the progress.

The fsck is currently on it's 2nd pass to ensure no other issues are on the filesystem. At this point I don't have an exact ETA or percentage for you, but we'll let you know when it has been remounted. Thanks.

The size of the /home partitions in these servers is extremely large. This is why the fsck's involving /home take so much time. Sorry for the delay I'll update the forums as soon as this is back online. Thanks.

I was asking because a large # of files that gets updated often can cause file system problems. Sounds like they may have been part of the problem with the file system integrity if they are now gone?
One of the Gators could probably explain better if that is the case.
