Default Suggestions from Reseller

Hi,
I have just requested closing my account (aluminium-reseller). It was a hard decision for me, because I loved Hostgator. However, some details really annoyed our clients and us:
  1. USA-located servers are too slow for Europe in which most of our clients located. So, we decided to transfer our account to UK. I want to suggest you strongly: you should also have UK or Germany located servers, because I liked your prof-grade support, feature-rich packages, price and also your high uptime grade.
  2. We are totally disappointed with your ENOM Reseller feature. It was not a really Reseller account, only seems so.
  3. You may also allow resellers to become a certificate reseller with you.
  4. High ping times (which I discovered after some slow-loading web sites - I know that ping time is not a real indication of speed, but in my situation it was proportional to it)
  5. WHM has overselling limit. I think, this is not helping resellers. You should be enable overselling.
  6. One free SSL and IP will really appreciated from resellers. You may answer such that hostgator do not add some hidden cost to his prices, but i do not agree. There are some good companies which give one IP and SSL with the same prices. I think, your marketing department will understand what I mean.
  7. SSH Shell access and your php.ini EZ config tool is really helpful, please keep going with it.
See you soon,

When there are alligators in Europe, #1 will be a legitimate complaint

I'm in the UK and HostGator speeds seem to be fine for me and I have never had any complaints from clients about it.

One free SSL and IP for resellers would be great.

You are lucky, provida1. Good for you
In my case :
Unfortunately, most of our clients' users are in Turkey. There existed two weak spots on the traceroute of our websites from Turkey to Texas, US; so that the sites' access speed and download speed was low compared to other servers located Europe (except Asia servers ).
However, we plan to become a resller with Hostgator again in the future to give options to our clients US-located, low priced hosting plans. For 90% of our clients, speed is everything. We convinced them most of the times, but my other pointed suggestions were main reasons for our decision.
See you soon

Some others are looking for UK based host and some of the users are reading top 10 vps list so you should make like that.

I don't know if HG would think in that direction, they seems too busy scaling up the US operations. But yes, UK and Europe is probably a less competitive area and Hostgator should do really well there.
