Hi everyone,
I am setting up my packages in WHM and am wondering what your thoughts are on the bandwidth limit I should give my customers. I have the Level 3 plan which has 500gb bandwidth. I offer three packages: basic, deluxe and platinum. What are peoples experiences? ![]() Thanks Pete |

It depends on you ! I usually (most of hosting companies ) give 10 times the storage i offer.

first, I agree with annaitech.
but on a level 3 VPS, well, I figure: you have 30 GB disk and 500 GB bandwidth. No overselling. So...if a customer gets a plan with 1 GB disk, then there could/should be 16 GB bandwidth. (500/30) but if you give 10x the diskspace, that should cover normal best practice, I guess. |

Overselling is bad unless you keep a keen eye on what the server is doing. But in order to compete with other companies you have to offer more. If you think about it most people will have small websites.
I hate to say it but the bigger the number the better. Isn't that a human trait? And who wants to see a monthly price for $7 when 6.95 sticks in their head. I get this feeling bandwidth is something a lot of clients don't pay attention to unless they are an experienced designer/webmaster. I am a bit of a noob and am growing so I want to expand my company. So many changes are happening.... p |
