Subversion planned for near future?

Hi all

I was quite disappointed when I found out that Hostgator does not allow repository creation but only to access external repositories. While it's better than nothing it still is very satisfying.
Many other hosting companies offer subversion repositories to their customers, wo why doesn't Hostgator? Or is it planned for near future?

This would be very great! :-)
