Hi,
When I try to put a subdomain on a parked domain, it doesn't seem to forward correctly. 1) I have a subdomain sub1.domain.com 2) I park park.com on top of sub1.domain.com 3) Now I create subdomain sub2.park.com The result of step 3 is A) A subdirectory /home/domain/public_html/sub2 is created B) sub2.park.com loads the page www.park.com (/home/domain/public_html/sub1/index.html) Neither A nor B is what I expected. Did I do something wrong? Thanks, jim |

What exactly are you trying to do.
What is the subdomain for?

I am trying to point
www.a.com to a subdirectory of www.domain.com and point b.a.com to a different subdirectory of www.domain.com There are a lot of places I would use this if I could do it. One example is we will be hosting a small record label. www.label.com will point to the label's address. The label has 5 or 6 band domains so we will create band.label.com and park www.band.com on top of band.label.com. Each band then might want to create tourdates.band.com or forum.band.com or something like that. It is all one account, so I would prefer not to break it up. Currently, if I create tourdates.band.com, it loads the page www.band.com. |
