Subdomains And 2° site

Hi all,
i have just buyed another domain and i want to setup this domain to have subdomains as well. I have done this with cp and the root of the new domain www.newsite.com work fine. But when i try to see test.newsite.com i get the index of/ page (but with no files or folders except the cgi folder). If i try to see test.newsite.com/index.php i get a 404 error page. What i can do?

whats the problem?

each subdomain is it's own separate domain. they each have their own folder of files..
test.domain.com doesn't point to the same folder as www.domain.com

apparently you don't have any index.xxx or equivalent in your folder having the subdomain name (Here test)

yes i have a file index.php in each subdomains and when i go to sub.domain.com/index.php i get a 404 error page. And i have many folders whithin subdomains but when i try to see sub.domain.com/ i get a index of/page (and i can't see files and folders but only the folder named cgi).
P.s: when i go to www.domain.com/sub/ it work fine.
edit: when i have setup the new subdomain under the new domain a new folder has been setup under the root of the main site. And so the folder sub/ ( that is a subdomain of the second site) has been created under the first site and under the second site.

seems to be an owner or permission prob. CHMOD 755 the indexes and verify the CHOWN.
Can also be a php.ini if you'r under sueexec see the threads about here.
Or a php versioning conflict

Hi RioStyles,
the folders are already setup to chmode 755. I have just setup a new subdomain to see if it work and no. it is not working. Dns are already propagated and the root of second site work fine. But the subdomains fails. I have checked my error_log but nothing...it is blank.
Php engine work fine. I have also uploaded a .htm file and do not work.

Ok, it work fine now. Great support here .Ten minutes and they have resolved my problems. (i have dropped my godaddy's account for the bad support. ).
