According to your accounts page for shared hosting, you support Windows Media streaming audio/video.
According to this page (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../fivestps.mspx), I would put my files I want to stream in a default folder and create links to the files omitting the default folder name. Is this how I would set it up here? What is the location of the default folder or do I have to create that somewhere? P.S. I would really love a tutorial or more information on this part of your hosting service since there is currently only the barest of minimums. Thanks, Dana |

Dana,
we support all http streaming (so Windows MediaPlayer, RealPlayer,...). The link you refer to is on how to setup Windows Media Services on a Windows platform server. We have Linux running on our servers, so that info is not relevant. What you should do is put your media files in a directory of your choice on the server. Create a file with a link to the media file, and point your URL to that file to play the media file over http. Some customers described this in more detail in these threads: http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=920 http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=994 Let us know if it's not working. Stef. |
