Starter a Resellers Business

Good Afternoon,

I am looking at starting my own web hosting site (using a hostgator resellers account) but have a question.

Once purchased, i then obviously need to create a website for my new hosting company as I take it that buying a resellers account isnt a once click setup installation that does all this part for you.

So, once my hosting site has been designed:
a) Do i have my own hosting package/space within the reseller account to upload all the relevant website files/images etc

b) how do i link it all up (my design to the wHM automation) so that once a customer clicks on sign up etc it automatically takes them through the signing up process.

I already have a normal host package and will be upgrading it to a reseller account ( i take it that this is the best way to sign up in my position).

Sorry not new to hosting, but new to the reselling. Any pointers would be welcome.

a) Yes, if you want to.

b) I suggest you look at using a product like WHMCS. You get a free WHMCS license with your reseller account here at HG. It enables a customer to view your products, sign up, pay, and have the account provisioned automatically, along with recurring billing. Go to whmcs.com to read more about it.

Yes definitely get WHMCS its a great product and the support from Matt is outstanding.
