Well, I've never used any SSL before, being new to all of this. I currently have a private SSL, the one that comes with the business hosting plan, and was wondering how I could edit the information on it... Like what it's run by, and the text that appears on the bar...
Thanks, Alex |

that's the idea of SSL, it is a certificate, You can't just edit it randomly at will, Certificates are issued by trusted issuer, like VeriSign http://www.verisign.co.uk/index.html
To get SSL Cert you have to send notarized papers and stuff

Dang, well I would really like to put like a company name in there, like...
"You are connected to www.site.com which is run by Company Name" Instead of... "You are connected to www.site.com which is run by (unknown)" Oh well, I guess...

Well, don't feel too lonely. Hostgator's own new billing system is still giving "This web site does not supply ownership information" and "Not specified" verification errors. Presumably they too have more notarized papers yet to be filed.
