I would like to have SSH access to my resources with additional username and password assigned to me which differs from the primary cPanel login information. Much like the ability to add and assign accounts for FTP utilization.
Is that feasible? |

Don't know if you are on a reseller account or not, but try this thread.

I am no shared hosting, which is why I asked if if it's possible to avoid logging in with the primary user and pass and alternative accounts for SSH?

You can give SSH/jailshell access to any of your accounts, which would give them access to their home directory. Then you could always sudo to the root user if necessary to touch system-level files.

It costs $10 to give access to an account in your reseller that isn't your main account.

Seems cheaper just to get a dedicated server and be done with it. Everyone can have shell, even people without accounts, if you want.

cPanel doesn't support SSH access, except via the account, so not, this is not possible.

Looks like you can request SSH shell/terminal access using the following page:
http://gator###.hostgator.com:2082/f...addons/ssh.php Where "gator###" is your server name, e.g. "gator123".
