Angry Spamassasin... I'm desperate...

Hi guys,

I've had/have a ticket pending with support since last week
HGSupport #ZFG-87378-950.

This all has to do with spamassasin, there was apparently a recent upgrade to version 3.0 of this software and it messed up how it works on my main domain and all the hosted domains, the situation seems to be getting progressively worse!

Here's the deal: I have spamassasin enabled and spam box disabled. I have the points threshold set between 8 and 10 (depending on the domains and how much spam they get) and *rewrite subject* enabled.

Since the upgrade last week to 3.0 rewrite subject stopped working so the ***SPAM*** subject line is no longer present, this means on certain e-mails people will have to open to then see the email and only then know it is spam and see spamassasins analysis and preview also this stops local filters from working.

Yesterday in an attempt to help I emailed support again and forwarded some info off of spamassasin.org that explained how rewrite subject in 3.0 works differently from previous versions.

This morning to my dismay I find that the threshold for SPAM has been lowered to 2 on my main domain this means most e-mail gets classified as spam! I have checked a few other domains and their threshold levels are still ok (no changes) but on *all* domains that I host the rewrite subject thing is not working even though it shows as active in spamassasins configuration.

Obviously I have a couple of customers on my case :-( rightly so, maybe you guys should test these upgrades before putting them onto live domains. Spamassasin is a selling point on my hosting products so u can imagine how it not working properly causes major problems for me.

Any ideas on how to get this to work properly again?

Thanks.
Antonio.

Hi Justin,

Yes, ticket still open :-(. Last contact I had was from Lyron on the 26th.

Regards,
Antonio.

**Update**

I just checked my morning email and have a message from Brent, apparently they were unable to resolve this and are now going to take it up with the folks at cPanel. I'll keep u updated as responses come along I just wish reverting to the previous version was an option.
