Default What sort of servers?

I'm considering moving hosts to HG. My current host is quite good, but i regularly get 500 Internal Server Errors on my joomla site. The resource log they gave me shows that I regularly use 17-19%, and on occasion 50% of their CPU resources. I read a review from another user, that they also had the problem with this host and they had to move. I don't know what kind of machines my host is running, but unless Joomla is really that crazy, I don't think it should be taking up so much resources.
The two possibilities are, the server processing is a bit less than what is needed for a Joomla site, and/or the server is not processing a php heavy site very well? I'm not php programmer or server IT person, just someone who likes to make websites and keep a travel-log, so that's the extent of my knowledge.

The things I have installed are Joomla 1.0.xx + Sobi2 Directory Plugin + OpenSEF + Community Builder + Fireboard. That's really about it. I'm not really sure if that is a lot, but other Joomla site owners seem to be able to run their sites ok with even more plugins installed than I do.

Oh, my traffic is negligible, it really is a for fun personal travel blog thing. I just like to keep a directory of all the places I go eat at, stay at, visit, and etc, so the Directory is quite important for me.

So, I am wondering if HG is for me, if it will be able to handle a Joomla site like mine, and if the Tech Cust Service reps are cool with not-too-techy people like me, and what sort of servers is HG using for Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting (in the future maybe)?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the reply Tshirtdesignz.

I think I would probably choose Reseller Hosting in the end as well. But I'm guessing from the lack of response to my original post from an HG official, the question that I asked might be a bit difficult for HG to respond to, as questions that came after mine seem to have received HG responses. I think I'll stick with my host for now and upgrade to the next major step up and see how that goes. If that doesn't go well, then I'll be in the market again.
