Maybe I'm just a hidebound purist, but IMO the growing percentage of threads in this category that are not suggestions has become slightly annoying.
Moreover, possibly HG might pay more attention to suggestions if it were easier to find them in the crowd. I'm not saying anything about the relative merits of any of the non-suggestion threads, just that they don't belong in this category. The description in the forum index is pretty clear about this category's purpose, and there's no reason to think that folks who ignore it would read a sticky. So this may be an impossible suggestion.

This has been an increasing problem. The main reason seems to be that there are a limited number of areas visible before users are verified and given full access so this area tends to get a lot of posts for support issues since those areas are not visible. I'm not sure what the solution would be other than to add a New User Questions section that could perhaps alleviate some of the posts here.

If it were called "Getting Started", it might pull some of them out of "Pre-Sales Questions," too.
