Truth. I signed up and payed a few days ago. I transferred my domain name yesterday morning, everything went fine at first, but since then I've had numerous people tell me my site is down. As of right now, 5/03/03 @ 3:35, it is down.
I don't need to go through this again. I just switched from featureprice.com. I emailed tech support, and I'm trying to IM hostgator who was available to sell me my account but is "away" right now. All accounts include: Instant/ free setup 99.9% uptime guarantee. 30 day money back guarantee Policy already violated. I am a fair-minded individual and if and when this problem is fixed, I will update this post. For now, I am very disheartened. UPDATE: This issue was resolved at 8:25pm on 5/03/03. Brent returned my call at such time, and explained that the newly transferred DNS will be unstable for up to 48 hours after transfer. This is acceptable information. My primary concern was of a lack of customer service. Brent's apology and promise of prompt service in the future is appreciated. Enjoy the day. |

I tell everyone phone support is 24/7 aim support and email is on and off, but still available most of the day.
It was a Saturday night I decided to take the night off and escape from the never ending radiation waves being sent at me from my monitor. Sadly the restaurant we ate at made all those nice little reception bars disappear. Greytime called at about 7:15 while I was at dinner with all bars missing. I got back to him at about 8:20 we promise 24/7 phone support and we will provide it. It looks like I'm going to have to make a list of places that our cell phone friendly before escaping back into reality.

You were setup less then a hour after ordering. Also you didn't include a correct domain name so we couldn't set you up until we got in touch with you.

I signed up today, and I was setup in less then 10 minutes! I can't make a bad complaint. I even did all there scam prevention stuff before I signed up, and I called the support before signing up, and someone answered the phone (unlike my old company, no one EVER answered). So far so good with these guys!

I've only been with HG four days now. Sent a total of two e-mails to support. One was answered reasonably quick. The last one of was sent out early this morning and have yet to be answered from anyone, even though I directly spoke with someone on IM who said my dbfile will be installed by morning. Now in this case, it is not urgent, but it makes wonder how will I get support when it is.
Also, I've posed a question in another thread that have yet to be answered. |

When you need a module installed on a server it's going to take a few hours to get done as a system administrator has to perform the task.
It was done few hours after you emailed... And as far as the forums go you need to email support if you have something important we don't check forums minutely...

My setup time was quicker than angelcities/geocities type sites.
I just hate that damn DNS... Instant gratification is a ***** with DNS. |
