What version of Apache are you guys using?
Can I modify the php.ini file using .htaccess? Can I protect directories with .htaccess? Can you give me a list of installed PHP extensions. When are you planning to upgrade to PHP5? Can I get a dedicated IP if buying a shared hosting plan? How much? What is the max file size I can upload through HTTP POST as indicated in the "upload_max_filesize" of the php.ini file and as indicated in the server config file? I know these are a lot of questions, but I think they are pretty basic, I just couldn't find the answers to them on your site. Thanks. |

Okay, I found most the answers after talking to rep(?) on AIM and after reading a related post, which appeared under "Similar Threads" after I posted this thread.
I found that the upload_max_filesize is 2MB, which is the default for the php.ini. I was hoping you guys could change this. This would allow my users to upload files larger than 2MB via HTTP POST when I use the PHP file handling functions. This is a PHP limitation and I could therefore use PERL to write an upload script, but I would like to use PHP. |

According to the other customers here, they have been able to change that value in their .htaccess files with success.

Guess that would mean you guys have AllowOverride set to ALL/Options. That's very nice. I was under the impression that it wasn't. Thanks.
