Default Some questions regarding your services

Hello, I am interested in purchase one hosting package with you, and would be very grateful if you could answer some questions, please:

1) Do you accept "paypal"?

2) In how much time is the account delivered to me after the payment (paypal or credit card) ?

3) My actual server uses Cpanel. Can I or you transfer the accounts from my actual server to the HostGator servers when I purchase a package? If so, how is it made?

4) Can I host more than one domain? If so, how can I manage more than 1 domain in a unique HostGator package (I actually host each domain in a separate account)?

5) Hosting with you various domains in a unique HostGator package, can I, for example, in the future, move all the domains to another server, and put each of it in a separate account again?

6) Do you offer Cpanel?

7) What type of technical support do you offer (ticket, tel, etc)?

So, thank you very much for all your help, and sorry for the great number of questions.

Most of your questions are answered on the support pages in the KnowledgeBase at http://support.hostgator.com/. HG does accept Paypal. If you use the eCheck option in Paypal it could take several days for the payment to clear so that the account could be set up.

They will attempt to move your site from the old host. You would only need to fill out a request form at https://secure.hostgator.com/transfer.php. All accounts other than the Hatchling allow multiple domains and all accounts use cPanel. The additional domains are handled as addon domains under the cPanel of your main account. You could move them to separate accounts later using FTP.

Support is through tickets, live chat, telephone, and this forum (for peer support.)

hg does use cpanel. you can have addon domains within your hosting account, which means you have one control panel for the mutliple domains.

cpanel host transfers to hg usually go pretty smoothly. you may have to tweak the configuration for any sites that have database backends, and make sure you have the correct username set up in your control panel attached to the right database.

Yes you can have more than 1 domain per account.. you can use the addon domain in cpanel (you cannot use addon domains with the hatchling plan) All addon domains are managed in your main domains cPanel

Thank you very much.

I don't use the eCheck option in paypal, or, I think I don't use. I have never saw this option in my PayPal Control Panel.

So, without this option enabled, my payment is applied faster?

yeah, it's faster without echeck. allow yourself a few days overlap between the old and new hosts regardless to allow for domain propogation and to troubleshoot any issues that come up, though. i like about a week overlap when moving hosts.

So, regarding technical support, what is the default time response? The problems and doubts are all answered quickly?

it varies a lot on how long tickets take to respond. a lot depends on what you're asking about, and how busy hg support is at the time. it can be a few minutes or a few hours, it just varies.

overall, support here is very good. you do have to be specific, and you do have to continue following up until things are workign to you satisifaction, which is true of any support department. hg does respond to them all, though (which has not always been the case elsewhere for me) and, overall, i would consider the support i get here far better than the support i've gotten at the other dozen or so hosts i've had.

tips for working with support: don't reply to your ticket asking for updates, as that will pop you to the end of the line. if you must ask for an update, use chat to do it. be specific and concise in describing your problem. check out the results to make sure it works the way you expect afterwards.

i won't say i've never gotten annoyed with support, but i will say i've never had something that i couldn't work out. hg support is very good in my opinion.

Also "eCheck" basiclly means paying via Bank Transfer/Deposit,
So make sure you pay via CreditCard or PayPal Balance for almost instant activation
