I just bought a dedicated server package which is in the process of being setup. The website I have usually sends out around 10k-20k emails every night. All legit verified opt-in emails. The dedicated server allows me to select from multiple optional software to have installed and setup free of charge. From the volume I will be sending out, plus during business hours staff members are sending emails out every other minute from 8am to 8pm I was wondering what you guys would pick as far as software for my situation and what is best from your experience. As far as the backups, I'd like use a software that allows me to schedule when they run, for both the database and files.
I will be running Coldfusion 9 / MSSQL Server 2008 on a Windows 2008 Server R2 Dedicated Server with 4gb Ram, 1500gb HD, and Intel Xeon 3110 (Dual Core)processor. Site receives 7-8k hits per day and emails coming in and out ranges around the 10k-20k mark in a 24 hour period, sometimes more but very rarely. Here are my choices for each category: Mail Server : SmarterMail Professional 6.x 250 Users * hMailServer 4.4.3 * MailEnable 4.x Antivirus : * DrWeb 5 * Kapersky AV Backup Server : Plesk Scheduled Backup Services * Windows Backup Service * Acronis True Image Enterprise Server Your assistance is most appreciated. |
