Positive So this is what support is like!

After yet another disaster over at my previous host (disasters which they never admit to), I moved everything over to HG today. 3 separate sites.

Access/ftp/everything worked GREAT! Better than the other place. A couple of quick tests revealed a couple of tweaks that needed to be made. I hit the chat application and feared for my life.

I was treated like a king, the staff was knowledgeable, and even helped me through a couple of newb mistakes (which I am embarrassed to admit to).

Douglas and Jason, you guys are the best!

Welcome to HostGator! Thanks for the kind words.

Do you remember which Douglas and which Jason you worked with? There are a couple of Douglas' here (myself included) and several Jason's as well. I'd like to pass on your positive feedback to them.

I wish I could remember, and I didn't send the chats to my eMail. I think Jason was Jason SC. I can't remember which Douglas it was Both helped me with Mod sec issues.

I know Jason remembered me on our second chat which also speaks highly of the support. Only people who care about what they do remember previous customers. If you do figure out which Jason it was, you can let him know I found the problem with my Flash script, and he was right - it wasn't a security issue.

I'd also like to thank Stephen P. and Bobby M. for their help in a support ticket. They too knew exactly what I was asking, offered alternatives, and helped immensely.

So in the end yesterday I had 3 issues. I resolved 2 of them via the chat system within minutes, and the other via a support ticket. I admit I used 2 different methods to see how well each worked. All 3 were resolved to my complete satisfaction, and my experience with both exceeded my expectations.

...Unlike that other large not-to-be-named German host who has their tech support desk in the Philippines .
