I won't mention any names but my previous host (well known, usually comes up top 10 in so-called best web hosting company) has gone downhill ever since their wonderful upgrade and constant updates. No matter what I did, even after moving across the country that's supposedly not too far away from the server location made just things worse.
![]() I had to search around quite a bit in fact, reading reviews, asking various forums and finding some non-biased reviews about Host Gator's service, I was convinced I wanted to make the change. What kept me from switching for the longest time was not knowing what to expect when switching a domain with four other parked domains, along with all the files including my e-commerce site I was just building. Host Gator basically made it painless and walked me through every time I had a problem. I chatted with them at least 10 times, called once and created three different tickets. All were answered within minutes, the support tickets were resolved within the same day and accessing the sites, updating and looking at them from various location has made me a very happy customer. ![]() On a side note, I know that newbies like me clueless about DNS and MX records and may sound like a complete idiot but every support staffs' patience and walking through when I had issues is very much appreciated. ![]() and in advance!!!
