Default SMF messageboard?

How would one set one up to a new account and transfer the database from an old messageboard to the new one?

After you signup for an account, request that HG move the data for you. They do it for free, so it's always better to take advantage of it when you can.

They have best results when moving from another cPanel host, but it's always worth asking.

Well, I'm signed up, but the thing is, I don't have the data, my friend and former host does. He said he'd give it to me, but I don't know what do do with it after that point. All I know is that it was a SMF BBS, so it stands to reason it would need my new one to be SMF as well in order to be compatible.
