Talking SMF Forum Questions

Will HG install the Pspell library on our servers so that the spellcheck in SMF will work?

How big of a forum can you run on a Baby account? I can't see myself ever having more than 10 users online at the same time. Don't run any plugins/addons for it. Are there any memory, CPU, or max connection differences between Hatchling/Baby/Swamp accounts. Or is it all just bandwith and disk space limits?

Is there any log, or realtime display where we can see how much CPU/Ram/Connections we are using?

Does HG support eAccelerator or Zend caching of PHP?

I guess that's enough dumb questions for now. I'll think of more later..

And SMF rocks! I didn't know anything about setting up a forum. Using the Fantasico installer I got one installed, upgraded, patched and skinned in about 2 hours. I love it!

When I asked them to install Pspell for my SMF forums they did it within 24 hours. However a couple of weeks later the Pspell library was gone so I think they recompiled PHP or something and forgot to put it back. I didn't really need the spell checking anymore since you can get spell checking addons for browsers so I didn't ask them to put it back.

pspell has some problems, I doubt they were really interested in installing it, but now that everyone has built in spell checkers in their browser, it seems kinda meaningless.

I've been doing some searching around the forum here but couldn't find an answer to this question.

Anyone have any idea? Even a rough estimate would do.

I currently have an SMF forum with 96 members, 4358 posts in 447 topics (made over a one year period) and the most users I've ever had online is 47. However I'm considering adding more functions to my site and possibly more forums in the future and I'd appreciate a vague idea of what my Baby Croc account can handle, and what Swamp and Semi-dedicated plans can handle. At the moment I don't have the foggiest idea.

cheers,
Ryan

PS: Hostgator rocks

I wouldn't see a problem in that, I have a baby account too and my forum has over 700 members, over 120,000 posts and over 50,000 topics and the maximum amount of users I had on at one time was 256.
