a small heads up suggestion

i am fairly new to hostgator,almost a year now.would just like to know why i recieved no email or heads up the servers would be down for apache migration.instead i log on to my forum and get a

i thought i was hacked. shouldnt we be notified about some downtime maybe a day in advance.... just a suggestion thank you

HG is working on a new cPanel theme that will include announcements of such matters. They also announce all scheduled maintainance in this forum.

np i had no idea about this forum until i submitted a ticket,then they referred me here... i also dont sign into cpanel daily,but nuff about that im not complaining was just suggesting... it is nice to know where to come for support...

"Help" would probably be a better term than "support" because it comes from fellow HG customers (the 'peers' in peer support).

i think perhaps sometime errors are not expected, like a storm causing a power cut!!!
But a note in advance will be good, especially for resellers
