Guys, I've had problems with ns703 and ns704 ? over the past few days.
I've talked to one of the support representatives in the live chat and he assured me it will be fixed in a few minutes but it carried on since the day before yesterday. It's very hard to work on my website when it takes 20 seconds to load a blank wordpress page. Any suggestions ? |

I'd run a traceroute from your computer to the server to see better where it might be slowing down and copy that to a ticket for the techs. You can run a traceroute in Windows from a command prompt entering 'tracert ns703.hostgator.com' (without the quotes). I ran it from my machine and the trace looked fine. When I typed the server address in my browser it loaded fast as well. If you have a domain we can view we can test as well.

Hello,
You can run a traceroute from a mac as well using the terminal application. That is good advice. Hostgator has a very good record of not allowing shared servers to get abused and not overselling how many accounts go on each server. That's why i am here for a few years and moved all my sites and business to hostgator. If it's not getting better, just REPLY TO the support email again. Always do a reply to the SAME ticket number so you don't open a new number, it keeps the history and priority working in your favor. Good luck this won't last long I'm sure and isn't a regular problem on HG.
