Anyone else on Skyline had problems today. It appears that smtp and http were going up and down like crazy. Started about 12:30 ET and seems to have quieted down after 6:30 ET or so. I was just able to access the site, and fetch email (I'm on travel - down in FL no less
) via dial up but it sucks after you have gotten used to cable. Anyhow I had something like 14 messages from siteuptime. The strange thing is I have another site of our monitored as well and it wasn't reported down at all (on same server). Anyone know what's going on? David |

I had the same issue - but I wasn't able to verify if my site(s) were *actually* down since I was having problems with my internet connection. :P

An update since my original post. I have received 10! more outage reports since then, and now one of our other sites is going up and down. With the first it was just SMTP and HTTP. With the latest round, it is the same with the first site, but the other site is having problems with HTTP and FTP. I have never seem this many outages since we joined HG. Can someone please look into this. Thanks.

OK, something strange is going on again with Skyline. It appears all of our sites are unavailable. Siteuptime just emailed me and I went and checked. A couple are naturalspi.com and piidmapping.com
Can anyone find out what the problem is? Thanks. David |

David, the sites appear accessible at the moment. Of course that is not to say that they were when you posted your note. In the future, when you experience an outage, it would be best to contact IM support, or Email support, as these forums are not monitored 24/7.
Please let me know if you are still experiencing problems with Skyline. -Justin |

Justin,
They seem to be ok now. I will email support and open a ticket in the future. I have noticed that most times this happens (well, other than the problem on 12/6) it only takes 30 minutes to an hour for it to "fix" itself. Is there something that is causing this on a regular basis? Would server backup, or users doing backups through cpanel cause this? Would just like to learn so I know what to do and not to do in the future. David |
