Skyline has been getting looked at for a little while now.

This is what the datacenter has said.

"I tried to boot the system up using a LiveCD but it failed due to the error below. It appears the drive is unreadable and can't be mount via LiveCD.

hpt37x: reading /dev/sda[input/output error]"

My guess is a drive has failed. We are breaking the array up to find out where we stand. The drives may just need a fsck.

I'm working to find out the latest, but last message I had was that both drives failed simultaneously. We may need to restore from backups. I'll update as soon as I have the latest news .

any updates, its been down for a few hours now.

I'm starting a new thread and locking this one. We have no choice but to do a full restore on the skyline server from backups. This is the worst possible issue that can happen to a server as restoring from backups goes pretty slow.

I'm going to say this is about a 12 hour process that's automated with no way to speed up. We are currently grabbing one of the new conroe servers so when it comes backup it will be on our fastest server we offer with a raid 10 setup.
