I cannot believe that my customer is the only one that had this issue. When my customer signed up for hosting they never changed the "yoursite.com" which is the default textbox value.
I would like the site to check / reject the default value, or change the default value to example.com which is automatically rejected under RFC. Many books, web apps, and other software not only use example.com, but also yoursite.com, among a couple of others. since your default sign-up domain was accepted by your system and ICANN, i am having a hard time getting this corrected. Other than that issue, i really do love your support, and hosting and my customers have been very happy (with exception of this one, which is understandable). Thanks, Dave |

HHHmmm that is odd, I do not see it, even checked my banner link to see if it was filling something in.
I am going to have to talk to my customer on what they did. On my affiliates page it is showing yoursite.com, and the confirmation the customer got shows that domain as well. It seems like I have seen yoursite.com as an example on the site as well. I think Gator fixed it already to make me look crazy, but the tinfoil I wear on my head stops that LOL. The mystery continues. |

I found out what they did, it is not a default in the domain signup, but rather is used as a "fill in" when they pick hosting and say they either have a domain name, or do not want one.
So I would like to alter my suggestion to change the output on stuff when they meet the criteria from above to "none", "no domain" or something that is better understood, rather than having people think they signed up with yoursite.com as a domain name. Dave |
