I have a shared hosting plan with you guys now. I'm very satisfied with the cost and the support. However, it really irritates me how slow the server can be at times. Sometimes my server works great but almost every day there is some kind of issue.....bogged down, totally down, or just slow.
Question: Are the reseller servers less shared? Will my websites perform better on a reseller hosting plan? Thanks! |

Hi Amagab.
I apologize if you've experienced any slow or less than adequate server speeds on your shared account. Both the shared and reseller servers are of same specifications and none should perform badly in that regard. Switching to a reseller account simply for server speed should not be needed, nor is encouraged. I would rather you switch to a reseller for the benefits of the packages themselves! If your domain is slow, or you experience these issues, please by all means notify our support staff the moment it happens. We're constantly on the lookout for undesirables on the systems and making sure those accounts which wreak havoc on the systems resources are dealt with. This could be the case in your issue should the server be experiencing difficulty. You can contact a live support representative or email support @ hostgator.com and we'll promptly review your system! |
