Shared SSL page update

I just thought I would let you know that the page located at http://www.hostgator.com/sharedssl.shtml does not include a listing for my server, so I was wondering what it would be. I think you should see my server name in the user info. Thanks...

Hi David,

I had the same problem and couldn't find info anywhere regarding the correct secure URL for my server. So, I did a little testing on my own and found that I was on secrue19. If you recently signed up as a reseller as I did, you might be on the same server or maybe secure17 or secure18.

Wow... this was from May 2004 and I had to use chat today to find out my shared SSL. Guess that page update never happened. I've gotta believe the support team is hit with this question every day. Funny that a site dedicated to helping web hosts doesn't see the importance (apparently) of keeping their own website up to date... it took a bit of my time to track it down. Would have been nice if that page had been updated. Might want to try a "Moment of Truth" process which would include all the steps to go through after adding a new server as you grow - then add the step where you update the shared SSL page as one of the steps. Looks like the last 20 or so servers are not there. Or else the link to the shared SSL page is old.

All else is good - keep up the good work overall, but get that stuff updated. Puh-lease!

Well, it could be worse - I suppose I could have been a "mama croc". At least, I have the cuteness factor going for me. Can hatchlings even bite off a human finger? I feel so weak.

So... How do we find out our SSL info if we are on a newer server? I came to search the forum for the answer and instead found this thread asking the same question. Is a ticket required to request the info?

edit: OK, after looking more closely at the outdated list, I suppose it's not difficult to guess my path. Though it would be nice to have the list updated.

The page has been updated since May04, but it's been a while since the last update. I will ask someone to include the new servers.

What's the deal with the update?

This is a real disappointment.
Does HostGator even have a valid reason for not updating that page?

Let your clients know what's going on with this update.

I think it's just that they have a lot going on right now. I mentioned that that page needed updated to them when i first joined, so say some 6 months ago or so...

What I'm wondering though is, if it's easy for certain people to find out what your shared SSL is, why can't the HostGator team put all that info on the page where it's all supposed to be, instead of having to constantly answer people's individual requests for it?

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

We should have a sticky post lock with all servers for share SSL If not on the website, just send a support ticket. I don't think update will come soon. It as been quite a long time that users have asked for it.
