We will be upgrading the kernels on all of the shared servers later this evening. The upgrades will probably start around 11PM CST.
There will be about 5 minutes of downtime on each server, however if a server has problems, it could take longer. |

Generally a kernel upgrade is more for security.

Computers run faster as less processes run without crashing?
