Hi all
I am a first time website maker and need a web host and am considering Hostgator. I am about to start a website which will have a software of size 10 MB available to download, and screenshots and 5-6 flash tutorials. I will also run a forum which will have at least 30 friends as registered users in 3 months. My programmer told me I might not be able to run this on a $10 per month type shared host because of CPU usage etc issues. Is this true? Am I likely to run into issues with say the Swamp plan for such usage? Any help/info from support as well as experienced folks (especially for similar usages) would be greatly appreciated… Thanks |

You should be fine with baby web hosting IMO,
Im running 4-5 pretty CPU intensive sites on that right now.. I love HG's servers!

I guess thats good news then!
Also, the Hatchling plan will suffice for my needs right? Apart from the 1 or 2 features listed at http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml is there any preference or benefit to Swamp customers? |

Hatchling only allows 1 domain correct?
Your going to want at least baby.... More domains = better :-) I think you can update later though to higher |

Yeah, the HostGator Servers are powerful enough to run what you need.
